Andrew Upshaw from SFA says, "As far as the best schools for college bass fishing is concerned I feel like Stephen F. Austin is one of the top. Up there with us I think Oklahoma, Northwestern State, and the University of Texas is coming on strong as well. As far as the best fisherman from each of the schools, I think Jeff Rich from Northwestern and Chip Porche' are some of our clubs biggest rivals. These guys really know what fishing is about and I personally think they could make a name for themselves in this sport. I do want to commend the performance though of my team at SFA though. We do truly have a lot of really talented guys on our team and we seriously have had a good team for a good amount of years. I am new to college bass fishing but I have fished major tournaments for a good amount of years on Toledo and Rayburn and I know good fisherman when I see them. You get used to fishing against the best locals in those tournaments and you realize who is good and who is not real quick. I do think the early success of the SFA team was great but I do think there is definitely more to come from our club, but out of all of the fisherman I have seen in College Bass Fishing, Chip Porche' and Jeff Rich stand out to me."
